John R. W. Stott is known worldwide as a preacher, evangelist and communicator of Scripture. For many years he served as rector of All Souls Church in London, where he carried out an effective urban pastoral ministry. This bible study focuses on the church of Thessalonica and Paul's relationship with them as Apostle, Pastor, Parent... The church was being persecuted and struggling with false teachers therefore Paul lovingly rebukes (idlesness), teaches (apostolic authority in rebuking and teaching the truth, for instance in regard to the second coming of christ) and encourages them to stand firm and in unity, spread the gospel to all nations.
