I trust the name of "Zondervan". However, my disappointments were: the quality of this electronic edition for the Kindle, and the selective exclusion of passages.

This electronic edition was VERY, VERY hard to read. "Sidebars" and other material extraneous to the commentary (which were nonetheless very good, and very desirable) were mixed in with the text. To a large extent, the only way you could tell if you were reading the commentary text versus other material was the abruptness with which sentences ended or started. Let me demonstrate by telling you about my family. "I have 5 children, ages 18, 19, and then Mt. St. Helens exploded with such power."

The other issue that I had with this commentary was its incompleteness. The authors did explain that they did not go verse-by-verse, etc. However, it was disappointing that important passages would have no commentary. This was particularly disappointing in cases where I did not understand a passage .... the commentary was silent.

I did enjoy the in-depth introductory material, and the summaries of passages. I also did enjoy what commentary there was; I just wish that it was not silent on other passages.

I purchased this commentary for a "good price". If I knew then what I know now, I would have paid full price for a better commentary. I regret the purchase.

I spent the summer in North Korea, and purchased this commentary thinking that it would be a good companion in that dark land. Instead, it was a major disappointment.

This commentary is a great addition to any collection for the serious student of the Word of God. The insight and understanding that it brings to the events surrounding and even behind the text makes this an invaluable addition to anyone's library of Biblical reference materials.
