Thexton Cold-Chek professional disc-type anti-freeze tester, test coolant, hot or cold, including Dex-Cool anti-freeze. Special feature is the "6th Disc" which shows over protection and a loss of cooling efficiency, beyond 70% anti-freeze, cooling and corrosion effectiveness is reduced. Large professional sized tester (16-1/4"" long) has Celsius and Fahrenheit scales.

larger unit and works fine but other smaller units are just as reliable and much cheaper

This was a gift for my dad 2010 Christmas. He had stated to me that we had one of these types of testers in our shop but must have been sold on the sale. He had tried several different types of cheaper testers and hated them all. The other similar testers with the small round balls in them were too hard to read, while the easier to read testers you had to fill and hold level while reading. (Neither being too difficult but not the same ease of use) I searched google images and found this on amazon.com and ordered it the same day. Of all of the high dollar gifts for dad this year, a $15 coolant tester was the best. Thanks Amazon!
