I have a 2001 Chevy Blazer. There are two grease fittings that are nearly impossible to reach with standard or even flexable grease guns. I even noticed when I took it to get my oil changed these fittings were never filled. I know that in time I would be seeing a very high repair bill so I searched for other options. I came across the Thexton righ angel adapter. It was Wonderful not only for the two fittings I could not reach, but also for a few others that I had to work at with a standard fitting. Thanks !!!! I feel bad for most other people that dont even know that this is a serious problem. Unless you tried yourself you would never know. I think it should be sent out to all service centers who grease cars.

Nobody buy's a right-angle grease fitting without needing one. Given that I had no choice, this small piece works great. It screwed right onto my small Sears grease gun, then it snaps into place on the zerk so it's a good, secure connection and no grease gooshes out.

It's very well-made, arrived promptly, and is worth the money. The shipping cost is high considering the tiny nature of this bit of metal, but nobody in my town seems to stock one, so I didn't have any choice. Otherwise, don't hesitate.

Conventional grease zerks I have found are not all the same in design in the ball of the zerk. The diameter is standard so it will fit a standard coupler. But zerks can vary in dimension from the tip to the stem. When I tried to use this coupler on my Chevy Astro it would fit most of the zerks and inject grease into them but several of the zerks were loose fitting and could not seal well enough to keep the grease from leaking all the way around the zerk. This coupler was designed under the assumption that the tip to stem dimension is always the same and rather than sealing around the ball/stem area of the zerk it has a slit in a tube with a plastic spring loaded wedge shape device inside the tube, a round cup in the wedge, and a hole in the cup for the grease to flow. When you push the tube onto the zerk by sliding the slit in the tube over the zerk, the zerk pushes the wedge to the opposite side of the tube until it seats into the cup in the plastic wedge. So if the tip to stem is shorter there isn't enough pressure on the end of the zerk to keep the grease from leaking past the zerk. There aren't many solutions to tight spot zerk locations so I recommend trying this coupler, but it may not be the final solution.

I have several grease fittings on my ATV that I cannot get to. This was the answer. TIP: You need a flexible hose (Ace Hardware and others) and screw it on all the way by hand and then back it off 1/4 turn. Use the looseness of the coupler on the hose to get on the fitting and have the grease gun in a comfortable position. It is very tight on the fitting. If you get grease coming out around the coupler and not into the fitting, you do not have it on the fitting all the way. Don't forget to wipe the fitting off first with a paper towel or clean rag - you don't want to push surface dirt into your bearings.

I ordered one of these after trying upon 2 oil changes to grease the joint on my pitman arm of my 2000 blazer. I finally googled for a coupler that was either low profile or 90 degree. I will say that this coupler allows me to easily get at that joint that caused me so much grief before.

The bad news is like another reviewer stated, about half the grease gooshes out without going into the zerk. I tried tilting the coupler back and forth to try to find a sweet spot but couldnt. Eventually I did fill the joint but it was messier than I'd hoped for. On my next oil change I'm hoping for better results. It does snap into place like a normal coupler, but it seems you need to find the sweet spot (if there is one).

Bottom line - It gets the job done, but it aint pretty.

This right angle grease coupler takes a lot of frustration out of greasing the steering linkage on a car or truck. I work on cars and trucks for a living and when I saw this tool I knew I had to have it. If you don't have this tool then you will have to bend your grease gun hose in a near 90 degree angle at times. This will shorten the life of the hose. This tool allows you to not bend the hose. Some GM trucks have a few grease locations on their steering that makes it difficult to access. This tool helps you grease that location much easier than before. I lost the first one I purchased over a year ago which is why I bought this one. It was depressing when I lost it. I am glad Amazon sells them, the shipping was fast and I didn't have to live without one very long.

I have a 2005 Hyundai Terracan CRDi (in Australia) and there are three grease nipples in the tail shaft and transfer shaft that are nigh on impossible to grease. Viola!! The Thexton 418 Right Angle grease coupler slides in to this cleaverly hiden universal joint greasing location to do a 100% job. I tried to purchase a coupler here in OZ, but to no avail. Log onto Amazon and, I've got just what I wanted. I would recommend Amazon and this grease coupler - you won't be dissapointed. Cheers, Warring Carlsson, Toowoomba, Qld.,Australia.
