Editorial Reviews

Product Description

THE CREEPSHOW are Canada s loudest Psychobilly Punk Rock band. From Burlington, Ontario, the band formed in 2005 when the four original members got together with the purpose of starting a hellbilly band. Since their inception, the band has brought their genre defying blend of country tinged, psycho punk rock n roll to over 25 countries worldwide with plans to conquer many more as soon as possible. Fronted by the fiery Sarah SIN Blackwood (guitar/vox) and backed by the swarthy Sean Sick Boy McNab (stand up bass/vox), The Reverend McGinty (sermons/organ/vox) and the righteous Matt Pomade Gee (drums), THE CREEPSHOW are an explosion of live energy that is a tasty treat for the ears and eyes alike. The band came to the attention of Hellcat s Tim Armstrong, who signed them and reissued the album stateside in 2009. Now comes We All Fall Down, their first album released simultaneously on both sides of the border, and sure to be their US breakthrough.

Review

You can't go wrong!

Every song is strong, high energy, well-written, excellent harmonies, very much in-your-face old-time rock.

I discovered this band about 2 years ago and I still listen to them everyday!

Seriously. I had no clue what this genre was. I ended up going to a local 'freakfest' just because I was bored one Saturday. The first band was fun and as far as my knowledge went, a 'punk' band. But they rocked pretty well and I enjoyed them (koffin kats.) Then, much to my surprise, this incredibly cute, tiny blonde girl comes out on stage with a guitar that looked a bit too big for her. I was never more wrong. She WAILED on that thing! The songs (mostly from this album, They All Fall Down) were very upbeat, fast and spunky. I totally loved it all! I had never even heard of this genre much less actually heard it. After the show, got to say Hi to Sarah and picked up a cd to take home. Was so very glad I decided to head out that one Saturday. Now I can't wait to see them live again.

Look, I am not a professional reviewer. All I can tell you is that The Creepshow is the best rock and roll band you never heard of. "They All Fall Down" is their third effort and they just keep getting better and better. The band features high energy psychobilly. Every song is strong, high energy, well-written, excellent harmonies, very much in-your-face old-time rock. No glitzy guitar solos, no pretension. Do you long for something that can sound at times punk, at times rockabilly, at times like Sha-na-na? Don't look any further than this one. I even like the fact that there are only ten songs of a rather short variety - no extended BS here.

I worry that this band will just survive on the fringes trying to get by on touring with only modest CD sales. Step up and support the Creepshow! We need to have this band producing great tunes for a long time to come.

I heard a song from this album in a record store. I asked the clerk what was playing, and immediately bought the album. It hasn't left my cd player. The genre is called phsycobilly, but this album transcends genre. This is a band at the top of their game. I bought their previous album because I couldn't get enough of this album. Their growth is amazing. The confidence shows in their restraint, allowing each musician to shine through. The lead singer, Sarah 'Sin' Blackwood's phrasing is incredible. She is a terrific singer. I have to go and listen to this album again.

This addition to The Creepshow's catalog does not let down. Following their previous albums, they start with an ominous 'sermon' and then come out swinging and don't let up! Fans will certainly not be disappointed. Might not even be bad introduction to the band either. It's not like their sound has changed. Unrelenting catchy psychobilly. You can't go wrong!

I discovered this band about 2 years ago and I still listen to them everyday! Buy this and their other two CDS. You will not be disappointed. Sarah Blackwood has an amazing voice that just makes you want to sing along with her and dance your ass off!! If you can, see them live while they are playing small venues. What a tasty little treat that was!
