5.0 out of 5 stars An Eye-Opener
After you read this book, and if you believe the fact that Bernie Parrish lays out are 100% accurate, you will believe that ANYTHING is possible, if the lords of the NFL want it to happen. 1.0 out of 5 stars Thought it would be much better
The book started out slow and I waited for it to improve. It got a little better but it never quite reached my expectations. The book became tedious at times repeating the same facts over and over again. I more than likely finished because I love the game of football.

This book will shake your faith in the NFL like no other. If you believe last year's fumble in the snow was "questionable" you will come to a very different conclusion after reading this book - even though it was written over 20 years befoe the event.

This is a book that Oliver Stone could make into a movie without any effort at all.

A truly great read, with fascinating, infuriating, and eye-opening inside details of the NFL that the league never wanted to see hit the light of day.

Intelligent, courageous and prophetic, Bernie Parrish, who lived this remarkable story, was right when his outstanding book was first published in 1971. And, nearly forty years later, he is still on target.

5.0 out of 5 stars NFL Exposed, February 7, 2011
This review is from: They Call It a Game: Shoulders the NFL Stands on (Paperback)
Bernie exposes the NFL as an Entertainment and Gambling Industry. The NFL is there for the Owners, Bookmakers and Television, etc. to make money off of.
Bernie points to SB 3, Colts vs Jets as one of the Biggest Fixes of all time.
The players and coachers understand what is going on and go with the show because, why upset the CASH COW?
The book is one of many to expose sports entertainment.
