KOKANE RELEASED A PRETTY AWFUL DEBUT IN 91 CALLED "WHO AM I" ON RUTHLESS RECORDS, BUT RECTIFIED THIS IN 94 WITH HIS UNDERGROUND CLASSIC "FUNK UPON A RHYME". I DONT THIMK U CAN BUY THIS ALBUM ANYMORE BUT IF U EVER C IT BUY IT QUICKLY! IT IS ONE OF THE MOST BIZARRE, UNIQUE, FRESH, PSYCADELIC RAP ALBUMS U WILL EVER HEAR.

BUT AS 4 THIS NEW ALBUM, I THINK KOKANE HAS LOST IT.

THE PRODUCTION SOUNDS PRETTY LOW BUDGET AND KOKAS LACKING ON THE CREATIVITY, AND ALL THE GUEST RAPPERS DONT DO ANYTHING TO HELP IT. MAYBE ITS BECAUSE COLD 187 DOESNT PROVIDE THE BEATS 4 KOKANE ANYMORE.

IF YOURE A BIG FAN OF FUNK UPON A RHYME THIS WILL B A BIG LETDOWN, BUT IF YOUVE NEVA HEARD THAT RECORD AND U WANT A KOKANE CD THEN U MIGHT LIKE THIS. SONGS LIKE "MAJOR PAPERS" AND "ON THE GRIND" ARE PRETTY COOL OVERALL THO THIS IS DISSAPOINTING.

we call him Mr KANE all over the world, the spiritual, musical son of the motherfunker president GEORGE CLINTON. Believe me, this album is a new gangsta rap way, the perfect mix between p-funk and gangsta rap! you won't regret it!!

This record came out in 1999, and is far from Kokane's strongest CD. It has som great tracks and overall a really good feel to it, but Kokane can do much better than this.

That being said I wouldnt have missed it for the world. It features SEVERAL beats by my favourite producer Battlecat (and everyone know Kokane+Battlecat = succes) as well as beats/apperances by DJ Silk, Bad Azz, Tray Dee, Spice1, Short Khop, Too Short and more.

I would recommend this cd for tracks 3 and 9 alone, but no matter what it is a must for any Kokane/westcoast fans

is kokane the long lost son of george clinton, love the cd though. kpkane been around since nwa and is just now being recognized. check it out.

CD was in great condition but the case was cracked pretty bad. Overall, happy with purchase.

Kokane came correct with his new joint for '99...after his 1st CD Who Am I, fools in the underground were checking for 'Kane...due to management issues, though, he never was given is true props as a leader in the underground hip-hop movement of the early '90's...this CD puts Kane back on the map as a true, real soldier and leader of west coast funk/hip-hop/gangsta rap....he still has his parliament old school funk influence, but with duets with Spice 1, Too Short, and his solo joints he turns out the hip-hop industry and lets fools realize who is keeping it real and who is just perpetrating in the industry....this is the hip-hop album of '99...don't sleep...for a small sample of some dope Kokane, check track #5...Major Papers...who else came out with anything even close, not just in '99, but '98, '97, '96...Kane is definitely Y2K ready and has been for years...now he lets you'all recognize who keeps it real and who's really a buster.
