5.0 out of 5 stars This collection is "...better than wine"
This is some quality pop music here, folks. "Tin Tin" is truly talented.

Every track in the collection is worth listening to twice. It even has the '85 version of his new wave hit "Kiss Me".

This is genuine, quality pop. Every fan of this era should listen to the brilliant talent of Stephen Duffy.

3.0 out of 5 stars Fine round-up but where is "HOLD IT" and the 12" mixes?!
I bought all of TIN TIN's erly 12"s/LPs when they first came out in the 80s, and while it's rather nice to have most of his "hits" on CD (esp like having both '83 and '85 mixes of KISS ME), there is one glaring error: WHERE IS "HOLD IT" the 1983 12" he did on Wanrer Bros? It's his BEST song, equal to Kiss Me- couldn't they afford to license it? And while youre' at it,...

What's the point of putting out STEPHEN TIN TIN DUFFY on CD and no club mixes? Maybe next time. Still a keeper for true fans until they get it right.

A must-have for quality bubblegum pop lovers maybe, but where's the Hold It 12"? What about the Dr. Calculus singles, "Programme 7" "Killed By Poetry" and "Perfume from Spain"? I wish they had put more thought into selecting the tracks. A great disappointment.

Great to get his songs on Cd... only had vinyl before and the records were wearing out!! Bit disappointed with the "different" songs on the CD that I did not know. dream machine for example. But just great to get the other great songs on CD and hear Duffy's voice clearer :)

4.0 out of 5 stars Kiss me with your mouth- your love is better than wine......, August 23, 2000

This cd is worth for this song alone.(KISS ME) Do you know how hard to find this song is. The maxi single is not in print anymore. And of all the eightes music this song stands out as one of the most liked and danced to. It's a classic right up there with yazoo. one song , and who knows you might like the rest.

1.0 out of 5 stars They call him.... Idjit!, January 20, 2010

I don;t know how they can scrape 16 tracks to fill an album of "greatest hits" when this fool quit Duran Duran on the eve of their signing with EMI and becoming international superstars. Pete Best was betrayed by the Beatles prompted by a third rate A&R man who admitted in "Anthology" that Ringo couldn't hit the drums either... To this day Pete Best is the "could have been a contender" story of the Beatles, Stephen Duffy is the same thing, but he did it to himself, the band did not kick him out. But I digress... Only 2 good tracks in this collection of failures. Buy the album only if it falls below $2- as you also have to pay for shipping charges when buying through Amazon. What a Dummy!!!!!!

This review is from: They Called Him Tin Tin (Audio CD)
if Duffy was the Voice and writes for them? anyway, Icing on the cake and Unkiss that Kiss are simply classics along with Kiss me. For happy tunes that will make you move your feet, there ain't a better artist than Stephen "tin tin" duffy!

i'm hoping for a 12" compilations of his hits, the remixes of the original in the 80's were often better than the originals..
