1.0 out of 5 stars Another failure November 27, 2005
By Ron
Format:Audio CD
This Meade Skelton character produced another sup-par album. It wasn't technically as bad as his first, these songs aren't the classics that he butchered on his first album, but still musical atrocities.

Believe it or not, there is a ray of hope for this "singer", as bad as this album was, and it was very bad, on the title track, 'They Can't Keep Me Down', I detected a glimmer of talent. If he gets a voice coach, and works really hard, he might not be that bad, but he's pretty far away from being 'not bad' right now.

I am glad there weren't any stalker songs on this one, like that Nicole Kidman song on the last one.

2.0 out of 5 stars A step down from the first CD July 19, 2004
By A Customer
Format:Audio CD
The first CD by Meade Skelton was solid, considering that he was so young at the time. Some people complain about the production of this album, but I think it's the rawness of the first album that helps pushed that particular recording into excellence. This time around, with more keyboards and a glossier sound, it seems more pedestrian and stale than its predecessor. It sounds more like a colllection of songs, rather than an album; it lacks a certain consistent intent, and as a result, the final payoff is anti-climatic.
Nevertheless, his vocal abilities still have much to admire, and I still think he has potential. Nevertheless, Buyer beware!

For the sake of all that is holy, let's hope that "they" can keep Meade Skelton down.

1.0 out of 5 stars Stay Down Meade! November 13, 2012
Format:Audio CD
I can't believe that anyone rated this musical atrocity 5 stars. You have to be seriously disturbed to appreciate the drivel that is on this album. Out of tune and muddy tone. Meade's voice will make the neighborhood dogs howl in depreciation. If you want to laugh have a listen. If you want music, try something else...

5.0 out of 5 stars highly recommend November 29, 2005
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
I wasn't sure what to expect the first time I heard this CD, I was pleasantly surprised. Since then it's become one of my all time favorites. The lyrics are original, witty, and at the same time touching as they depict some of things we all experience in our lives. I have given this CD as gifts to my friends and family. I highly recommend.

1.0 out of 5 stars Awful just awful June 7, 2007
By G$ash17
Format:Audio CD
This music is incredibly dull and pointless not to mention Meade Skelton harassed numerous people on the internet to buy into his garbage that he's a great musician and he went on to verbally assault lots of people who didn't think he was as great as Elvis, a pathetic cd and an even more pathetic human being

1.0 out of 5 stars If you like white trash country this cd is for you! March 2, 2013
Format:Audio CD
This Cd was like his last one. One song has the lyrics 'I don't want to be with you anymore, but we can still be cousins.' This made me regret my purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars Every Song is A Winner! November 6, 2003
Format:Audio CD
Man, am I impressed. This is a true work of art.
There's no filler on this album, every track
is a masterpiece. I'm sure who ever this Meade Skelton
is, this guy has a voice and a talent for songwriting
that is going to carry him far. Certainly refreshing
to hear something Originial in the Pop and Country
vein for a change. Much better than anything you'd
hear on Pop and Country stations right now.
