So Solid Crew is this UK hip hop group that raps to a funkier techno called garage. This is interesting music but it is not for kids. They are gangster rappers from the UK. There are a lot of people in this group. Some rap some sing R&B. It's mainstream music so it's fairly formulaic. The beats and rhythms are highly synthesized and they sample from American music and set it to techno. It's an interesting experience, but I have heard better music. This music can be compared to M.I.A. if she composed beats in the late 90s.

I didn't see any bad reviews by Americans on this CD. However, as an American I can say that this CD has a lot of appeal. I'm actually a West-Indian-American so there's something about the the Caribbean tinge to some of the tunes that appealed to me. Their slang is similar to that of American Hip-Hop, yet placed in their own wicked stylee. 'Nuff props to the So Solid Crew. Big up to the GT posse reppin' in the UK...big up to my cousins dem, I hope to see and meet y'all at the Notting Hill Carnival this year. "Buyackasha!" as Ali G would say.

Actually, there's no way that 21 seconds would be enough time to describe how talented these guys are. The Crew is definately number one as far as all UK Garage / 2 Step artists go. Songs like Ride Wid Us, 21 Seconds, They Don't Know, and Haters blaze with fury... This group will take any Rap lover, and even some Rap haters like me, absolutely by STORM~! Buy this album. Trust me.

Woke up one morning, brushed my teeth, had a shower, and off i went to town, picked up the new so solid crew cd, merrily went off home to go and listen to it. Got home fed the budgie went upstairs and put the cd in the cd player. I was shocked, I was flabbergasted, the cd player wasnt working. After a couple of minutes i realised it wasnt plugged into the mains. Anyway off i went listenin to the cd. It started off with a song called haters. By the time this song ended i had gone from liking this group of wanabee gangstas to hating them myself. Terrible song. Then there was "oh no". Yep thats exactly what i was sayin wen i heard the remix to it. OH NO WHAT THE [HECK] IS THIS ***!!! Then the 21 seconds song. Now picture this i have been tortured for 35 minutes so far by listenin to this cd. Then im given this song. ive tried being patient and ive tried being reasonable but this song made me lose it. This cd should be used for boxers at the start of their fights cos it would really get them wound up or maybe instead of the electric chair put the criminal in a room wid this cd playing. worst album ever

Straight Out Of England,

So Solid Crew Is a new and strong British Rap and Uderground type Group. They to me are the strongest Rap Group in england. There Flows And Striaght out Rnb lines mix in with a underground treb beat makes a new sound that will penetrate the world. If they can get through to a good Producer they could Kill Groups like Cash Money and They trying to come back No limit records. I think that if you like rap you will get hooked to they sick and ill ryhmes. and if you like a treb beat you will love this cd its filled with it. My favorite Track is Haterz cause it mixes the treb and bass with a little rnb and rap its tight so check this cd out and pick a copy up from amazon.com. its worth the money plus it has some Hizzey bonuses on the cd load it in your computer and you get more for your money. They have also got a lot of catchy lines so pick it up or miss out.

What a joke!,
By A Customer
This review is from: They Don't Know (Audio CD)
This band is a total joke! There are about 30 people who think they are 'solid' that sing about a load of rubbish. Their music is repetitive, predictable pop/rap/garage... whatever crap genre you want to call it. These are the kinda people (bands) who are just wrecking music history in general. Buy it if you want a good laugh.
