5.0 out of 5 stars They all fall down
Wow, I think I am more impressed with this authors talents after every book I read. This one was full of suspense. I love the characters and I like following the same characters through many books. This was a nice mix of medical thriller, drama in his personal life and suspense.

1.0 out of 5 stars Garbage
It reads like a parody of James Patterson's Alex Cross series. The problem is this book isn't supposed to be comical. Character development and plot lines are so ludicrous they're unbelievable. It's written for a 5th grade reading level. I picked up a couple of Bill Clem's novels for kindle because they were a $1.99. Now I understand why the price was so low. I hope the...

Another good Holland Carter story. It catches your interest right away, and keeps it to the great ending. I enjoyed this book, and recommend it for an enjoyable fast read.

4.0 out of 5 stars good read, December 3, 2009
This review is from: They All Fall Down (Holland Carter Series) (Paperback)
I really liked this book from this great author. It was a really good read.
I just swapped it with a friend for another Clem book, and she is enjoying it as well.
I think Clem will become really well known, particularly for his originality and talent.

The evil ArchDukes of Industry are dropping like flies. Carter (series star, Wells (Carter's partner by circumstance), Lieutenant Coleman (Carter's boss) and Tansey (Carter's daughter) are the only character's in the silly novella other than said ArchDukes that do not end up dead soon after being introduced. That Leaves Brianna, Tansey's (as in Pansy) new best friend. And she's not dead. And Carter thinks she's, "a bit off." Hmmm, no, couldn't be.... Yes it could, and we all know it five seconds after she's introduced. Not because were genius level dicks, but because she's the only character left!
This is the most sophomoric, hackneyed, cliched slice of tripe mystery attempt They All Fall Down (Holland Carter Series) I have ever read. And I have read, and enjoyed, hundreds. The only Captain of Industry that should have been blown to smithereens is the head of the publishing house that pulled the pieces out of the shredder and assembled this heinous joke.

5.0 out of 5 stars They All Fall Down-This book kills, March 10, 2008
This review is from: They All Fall Down (Holland Carter Series) (Paperback)
Bill Clem's second installment in the Holland Carter, and third appearance of Carter in a Clem Book (See Skin Deep for his first appearance) is even more riveting than his last, Dienchephalon. A first-rate, gripping mystery ripped, as they say, from today's headlines, that reveals more about Carter's personal life, his methods, and the sometimes tragic events that happen when the line between personal and professional life blurs. Another lean, whiz-bang novel that rolls along at the swift pacing that is getting stronger in each new book Bill puts out. A story that places Carter and his loved ones right in the path of the most dangerous case he's faced yet. But be warned: Pick it up, you won't be able to put it down. Ed Mcbain would be proud.
