This review is from: They Followed the Trade Winds: African Americans in Hawaii (Social Process in Hawaii) (Paperback)
Much of this information I had never heard, but then neither Black History nor Hawaiian history seems to be something that is a top priority for mainstream teachers in the continental US. I appreciated this book because it was a very positive story of people who had a can-do attitude and made a difference where they lived.
