This review is from: They Say My Kid's Gifted, Now What?: Ideas for Parents for Understanding and Working with Schools (Paperback)
Just as the title says, this is a quick book for those just getting started as parents of an identified gifted child. What does it mean? What should I do? What will the school program offer my child? How can I work with (instead of fight against) the schools? Dr. Olenchak offers easy-to-follow advice for those just getting started in their new role as "parents of the gifted." Plus, there's a wonderful list of research-based resources, to help parents learn the facts and dispel the myths often told about gifted children.
