5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent!
"They Know Us Better ..." is a highly intelligent, thoughtful examination of the subject. A fascinating read for an historian or a casual reader. I look forward to more work from Dr. Brown.

1.0 out of 5 stars Boring and biased
I'm so glad that I didn't pay for this book. It is NOT intelligently written and has a completely condescending biased tone. I only got as far as page 40 before being bored to tears. This review is from: They Know Us Better Than We Know Ourselves: The History and Politics of Alien Abduction (Paperback)
I'm so glad that I didn't pay for this book. It is NOT intelligently written and has a completely condescending biased tone. I only got as far as page 40 before being bored to tears. The author obviously has issues with hypnosis and offers no real data to back up her claims, just her own bias. I have no patience for people who think they know the truth and have all of the answers. She blames the Betty and Barney Hill abduction on PTSD and their interracial marriage. Sure, it's a possibility, but she states it as fact. If I was looking for this kind of skepticism I would've just searched Alien Abduction in the Skeptics Dictionary. What's the point of this book?

I recently finished John Keel's Operation Trojan Horse, where he supplied a significant amount of data and made no claims to have the answers! He delivered an interesting concept and actually was respectful of the alleged abductees unlike Ms. Brown.
