Not about getting mellow,
By TucsonShopper (Tucson, Arizona) - See all my reviews
This review is from: They Played with a Quiet Mind (Paperback)
As "A Customer" says, this book is about how to become very focused but not jittery. This is not about any sort of relaxation but about becoming truly serious: a "true" competitor wants to play at any cost. This doesn't describe my golf game (or any game), but it does describe my work intentions (like any professional athlete). And, the material is very transferable to whatever you want to get serious about. I would also recommend The Art of Learning: An Inner Journey to Optimal Performance written by chess and push-hands karate champion Josh Waitzkin.

Gave insightful tips and clues on how to become focused and stay that way... to enter the "zone" without having to be so serious that fun is gone. showed me how to teach myself out of trouble rather than "forming" myself into mistakes. easily read and understandable..
