I agree with the other review for this Album. This is definitely one of the best gospel albums ever. After all these years, it is still my favorite. It's a must-have... and extremely hard to find.

Like virtually anything that Thomas Whitfield's name was on, this was a quality project. But this album caught him at his peak with the amazing talents of his ensemble, The Whitfield Company.

This music is truly timeless and will continue to bless you and bring you enjoyment indefinitely. I'm listening to it now and feeling refreshed all over again...which is what prompted me to find this selection on Amazon and write this review after all these years.

Hopefully one day all of Thomas Whitfield's albums will be REMASTERED and re-released one day. But until then...snap up a copy of this one when you can find it. It is a rare gem indeed.

This CD is one you've got to have (especially if you're a musician influenced by Tommy)in your collection! Thomas takes these beloved hymns of the church and gives them a new and fresh flavor for today's times.

Though this album was released in the late 80's, the arrangements Tommy created are timeless. Tracks to check out are: The churchy "Higher Ground", the jazz flavored "Think Of His Goodness", Nothing But The Blood Of Jesus (w/the patented "Whitfield groove"), and of course, the closing reprise of "Wonderful Fellowship" at the end.

Thank God for anointing the "Maestro" and leaving us music with a message that will have much longevity and impact for years to come!
