Editorial Reviews

From the Author

I truly hope you enjoy my new book. The book deals with the unique characteristics of Gen X Managers and Employees, it deals with some quite different characterizations of leadership styles, and it offers unique programs to increase human productivity and reduce turnover. But with all that being said, it is really about truth in management. I look forward to your comments... Mike Muetzel

5.0 out of 5 stars A wonderful insight into Gen-X and what drives them!, July 7, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: They're Not Aloof... Just Generation X (Paperback)
One of the most interesting books I've read on management and human relations. This book is useful as a management primer and well beyond, including parenting.

The author illustrates with demographic data the future and clear importance of understanding Gen-X. This generation will be the dominant workforce and running the corporations and institutions of this country. If you're in management you need to be aware of and plan for this. Gen-x is talented, independent and demands a fresh approach which the author provides a blueprint for.

This book proposes that as managers first we understand ourselves, what drives us and our management styles. This chapter alone is worth the price of the book.

The book is full of interesting and introspective personal experiences from the author and well worth reading.
