When NOFX takes it too far...,
This review is from: They've Actually Gotten Worse Live (Audio CD)
This is another fine addition to the nofx (what might as well be called a library at this point) collection. Terrific sounding drunken stuttering through 24 songs. If you already love NOFX or know about them, then you already know what you are getting yourself into. The only reason I didn't give this record 5 stars was because of the Decline teaser encore at the end. The Decline is such an epic song that they should have either put the entire thing on or not even bothered to tease us with it at all. I feel like I just got married, carried my bride into the hotel suite, only to have her pull my pants down, look at my junk and then laugh in my face saying "you're never going to have sex again...ever" as she goes to sleep.

It's NOFX ok...,

I thought this was a great live album, I'm a diehard NOFX fan, but still, the recording quality is spot on, the songs are all new (compared to "I Heard They Suck...) and so what about the Decline Teaser! Did you really think they would play the whole thing live? Besides, if you caught one of the shows from this tour (I did, whoo hoo!!) you would know that's all they played of the Decline anyway... It's NOFX, love em' or sorta love em', it's NOFX... Now how about a live DVD already!!!

So what if they teased?,

What's with all the whining about The Decline tease?? This album holds together very well in my opinion. Some of their best stuff, and gratefully not all their "hits." This album actually made me like a few of songs I didn't care too much about before, like "I, Melvin", but especially "Eat the Meek."
This is proof that NOFX is one of the best around, and the two guest appearences on Lori Myers and I, Melvin and Hefe's trombone and trumpet playing never sounded so decent on a recording. Good span of songs from various albums. Overall, I think some people don't give NOFX enough credit, even their own fans! Who the hell are you to expect things from them? The reason they've been so great and are still getting better is because they've done whatever they want. I'll take 3 minutes of The Decline....
