This book was sooo good. I could not put it down. It had it all sex, love and a whole lot of drama. You need to pick this one up. You will not be disappointed.

A Great read! I really just started reading urban fiction books and alot of them seem the same, some are unrealistic while some are entertaining. I ordered this book with some Ashley and Jaquavis books and I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this book. It was very entertaining, the author did a great job at making the character realistic and I actually wont pass this on to my best friend like I do most books, I want to read it again! Chauncey seemed so sexy and Tatum seemed wildly relateable to myself as well as any young girl trying to move into a positive direction regardless of your surroundings. Kim was off the hook! She had me literally laughing out loud! The plot was a real wow and I think we can all relate to at least one of the charcters. I read tihs book in a very short time and I was enthralled completely. Overall, the book was a must read, and I will definitely reccomend it. If you are reading this Thicker Than Water is a book you should pick up. I hope more people learn about this book and it gets the recognition that it deserves. Milanie! xoxo

these four chics were a mess... lol well let's say that i think we all may have/know a friend like sasha, tatum, and kim BUT that neli... oh h3ll no- she was a mess. who needs enemies when you have a friend like that. soooo waiting on the sequel...

The divas of Brick City , Newark, Sasha, Tatum, Kim and Nelli are as thick as thieves. Beautiful, sassy and stylish, these lovely ladies can go toe to toe with the best of the elite and get any man their hearts' desire. Friendships and relationships are tested when a slew of uneventful activities come into play that may cause their lives to change forever.

"Thicker Than Water" is very entertaining and will have you on the edge of your seat. The drama was unbelievable and kept me glued to the very end. I was really excited when I read one of the characters with the same name as mine. The ending left me hanging and wanting more, but at the same time thrilled that there will be a part II. Ms. Allen has definitely got the literary game on lock.

It's funny how one person can change the lives others. Jealousy is another evil that holds on 2 a person who wants what someone has, it's like a drug that drives them 2 "crazy". I loved this book, every paged I flipped n the wee hours of the night all up n the A.M reading..I just could not put this book down. All the players played their roles, but there was something about Ree that I just liked so much. He and Tatum, I loved their chemistry...I liked how he approached her from jump, everything about Respect was like WHOA...his demeanor, that swagger, that take charge boss man thug type thing he has, very alluring...I loved it. This novel holds ur attention..it gets ur emotions all in an up roar. It has laughter, tears, love, and pain. Drama filled. 2 have tru friends nowadays is hard...2 cross one of them takes balls mixed with a little crazy.. Neli did not have loyalty 2 no one, she didn't even love herself. Chauncey was being a man..freak shows itself..man says F it!!...Kim had her own demons and she dealt with them by being wild and out there, but tru 2 her friends....Sasah and Tutum tru friends...Chris a wimp, and hater all day long, he dealt his own cards by not thinking 4 himself and fallin 4 the okie doke.

Takerra Allen U did ur thang with this one, and I am a fan of ur work, I'm l@@king 4ward 2 part 2.

This was a great read I can't wait until 'Still Thicker Than Water' comes out. I have just added Takerra Allen to my list of favorite authors. Don't pass this one up.

I hope that there's a part 2... Dang- this book was good- it had me turning page after page... BUY this book...

Meet four friends with diverse lifestyles, personalities, and goals in life. They accept the good, the bad, and the ugly to stand together against all odds. Kim is the vocal one of the four with her ghetto mentality, yet despite the strength she exudes, she has a weakness for a married man. Neli is the weakest link and her insecurities play a major role as she secretly covets the possession of one of the quartet's most precious possessions. Sasha loves her friends as much as the love of her life, Chauncey, who seems to love the drug game more than her. While Tatum is the authentic diva with looks, luxury, confidence, and style, she's missing the love of a good man.

Tatum effortlessly steals the show with her encounter with the unforgettable Respect. Respect is a fascinating character that lures you in with his poetic quips and his sexy dialect; let's not even begin to mention his looks, power, attitude or prowess in sharing his love.

Thicker Than Water is an energetic read focusing on the relationships between four friends and the many ventures that they dare to encounter. Love, life, romance, jealousy, rivalry, deception, betrayal, and loyalty all flourish as the story line expands. This is my first Takerra Allen read, and I highly commend her on taking an age old plot and portraying it in an impressive and superbly written novel. Ms. Allen incorporates suspense and a tad of mystery to make this an even more pleasurable and intriguing tale. With better editing to correct the numerous errors, both spelling and grammatical, I have high hopes for the conclusion of this story line and anxiously await the sequel! Kudos Takerra...Kudos!

The green eyed monster is a mutha. Four beautiful young women want nothing more than to live their lives with someone they love and be happy.All seems to go well until one decides to use a mistake made at a drunken bachelor to get the man of her suppose to be best friend instead of finding a man of her own...

Little did she know this decision would not only change her life but the lives of too many.

Ms.Allen did a very good job in keeping this story flowing...not a dull scene...she gave us all we want in one read that I could not put down...Her scenes were where I found myself in a corner watching the story unfold.

This was well written and I look forward to reading more of her work.

I read this book in 3 nights. I could not wait for my son to go to bed so I could nestle on the couch with this book. It just keeps you wanting more and more,I was disappointed when it ended because I wanted to keep the story going. The writer had me right where she wanted. The story line and characters are realistic and you can actually imagine it really happening in Newark. I hope there is a part two. Damn...Ree is fiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnneeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...LOL

Great buy you will not regret it
