Dynasty on Speed,
By
This review is from: Thief of Hearts (Paperback)
This is what the super rich do when they arn't doing business and arn't in control of their jealosy, greed, morals, and self endulgances. All making for characters so interesting in their dialogue and thinking that you feel like the characters should be named Burton, Taylor, Sinatra, and Gardner. Just think of them when you wonder if this book's characters are too outrageous and out of control to be believed. When money is no object the id has the freedom to take over, as it has done with these characters, making them so intense in their actions the page turning becomes almost hynotic. Victoria Taylor Murray has really gotten into the minds of her characters and with the author's beautiful face gracing the back cover, you feel like maybe you're reading excerpts from her fantasy diary, making everything in the book more urgent and realistic while mentally casting her in the part of the lead character. For those who like erotic thrillers with bite this is the one.

Best Seller Continues To Attract Readers!,
By Evelyn Horan (California) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Thief of Hearts (Paperback)
Thief of Hearts is only the beginning of a four part Lambert Series set in the island paradise of Lambert, frequented by the rich and famous. Here the privileged indulge their whims, passions and desires. The book is a page-turner with fast moving scene shifts, realistic dialog, and characters with hidden motives and desires. Thief of Hearts has it all--passion, romance, mystery, betrayal, revenge, and a double murder. The book leaves the reader with a need to quickly continue the Lambert saga in the second book of the series, entitled Forbidden. An exciting and breathtaking read from beginning to end! Highly recommended!

"Thief of Hearts," by Victoria Taylor Murray is one book you won't want to miss. A friend recommended this one to me, and I didn't want to put it down until I was finished, it was that good. The characters are wonderfully written, the dialogue carries you along, the romance is hot, and the suspense keeps you involved. Excellent book. Am anxiously anticipating the second in this series.

Superb Plot Writer,
By A Customer
This review is from: Thief of Hearts (Paperback)
This book is not an example of "literary fiction", but it is an excellent example of original first-rate escapist "commercial fiction" at its best. A delicious read. If you like a really good, fast-paced, unpredictable, well-devised, gripping, and easily readable story which has good plot twists, sexy seduction and a double-homicide to boot, this book is for you. I couldn't put it down and read it in one evening. I just had to know how the story would unravel. Many surprises. And I must say the sex scenes sizzled. The main characters were well-drawn and intriguing, doing and saying just what I would expect them to. These are people we only see on TV. And some of us dream we are them. Without wanting to give too much away, I like how Nouri's rich wicked husband's "hidden skeletons" come to light, and the events it puts in spin. This book has all the elements to appeal to both the "soaps" crowd AND to readers of mystery, suspense, and general fiction. Nouri is a great character. I could see this book as a made-for-TV movie. When I read a novel, dialogue is my favorite thing, and the dialogue in this book hits the right notes and is a pleasure to read. I read somewhere that Murray's publisher will be re-editing her books to take out the typo's and other errors, so I hope her few harsh critics and denigrators will take solace in that at least! The vast majority of us just love her stories and want more!!

Reminded Me Of Dynasty In A Way!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Thief of Hearts (Paperback)
I love stories like "Thief Of Hearts!" Reminded me a little-bit of a few of the night time SOAPS of a few years back (Dynasty, Dallas, Falcon Crest). A SAGA that just keeps on going, and, going, and going. I love plots like this. Just ordered book two of the series. I fell in love with the lead character Nouri Sommers and can hardly wait to see which guy she finally winds up with -- Her mysterious husband, her former lover, her first real man, or the studly homicide detective from Boston... Fun storyline!

This is an excellent read! Victoria has a way of drawing you into the world which she creates within her book. She has a seductive way with words which kept my attention focused on the characters througout the story. My only question is when is the sequel coming? I would highly recommend this book.

A Must -Read Romance,
By
This review is from: Thief of Hearts (Paperback)
Thief of Hearts is a beautifully written novel. It has it all; the life of the beautiful and rich, murder, humor, and betrayal. I couldn't put the book down. Following the lead character Nouri, the reader is pulled in right from the first chapter. I highly recommend this book for anyone that loves to get lost in a good romance novel. I cannot wait for Victoria's next book, "Forbidden."

Finally, a romance/mystery writer that can write her butt off. This novel will keep you on the edge of your seating and leave you wanting more. Now with the 2nd installment "Forbidden" of this ten book series, I am in awe of what streams out of the pen of the magical author. Hold on world, because this lady really rocks! As Christy French wrote, "This writer possesses a wonderful descriptive talent." Hopefully there's a movie deal for her in the offing, even as I write. Because this book would make one hell of a movie!

Part one of the Lambert series, Thief of Hearts by author Victoria Taylor Murray left this reader so charged up I felt as if I needed to be hosed down...Can't wait to read part two! Murray's ability to write a variety of sexy scenes as well as believable dialogue between the rich and risky acting of society makes Thief of Hearts a page turner, for sure! Great series, author Victoria!
