Book Description

November 2004
What the average person does not know about the directors of our monetary policy, the Federal Reserve, is the fact that there is absolutely nothing "Federal" about the Federal Reserve System, and neither does it have any "Reserves." In his astonishing new book, "Thieves in the Temple: America under the Federal Reserve System," Andre Eggelletion reveals facts about how the American economy operates that every American deserves to know. He establishes a historical perspective, by discussing the definitions and functions of money, and how the idea of a central banking system evolved through American history.

Editorial Reviews

Review

It's not a white man conspiracy or a Jewish conspiracy-it's a money conspiracy gone out of control. -- Dick Gregory

About the Author

An alumnus of Florida A&M University in Music and Political Science; Andre Michael Eggelletion is a successful entrepreneur and hosts the two hottest Radio Talk shows in South Florida - "South Florida Speaks Out" and "Behind the Headlines" on Mystik 1580 AM and live on the internet.

Eggelletion is the only known African-American in U.S. history to publish a book on the Federal Reserve System. This fact is important but it is truly overshadowed by the eloquence and passion, to which he speaks to all Americans on not only the Federal Reserve System, but is extremely engaging on a wide pallet of political, economic, and social issues from a global perspective.

4.0 out of 5 stars Interesting...., June 29, 2006

First off, I can't believe that no one else has written a review on this, but anyway....

Overall this book is very insightful, basically it took an idea I was familiar with, and expanded on it. I really liked that the author explained fractional banking and all the other stuff because economically I am an idiot.

It is a scary subject that doesn't receive much airplay.

The only problem I had with the book was the random tangeants and his problems with George Bush. Don't get me wrong, I am not a Bush supporter, not by any means, but in the middle of talking about the creation of the Federal Reserve in 1913 he goes off on a tangeant about Bush stealing the election. Did it happen?, probably, but it really didn't fit here at all.

Overall it was good, but I just wish he would have kept his agenda out of it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Informative and Insightful, October 9, 2007
This review is from: Thieves in the Temple: America Under the Federal Reserve System (Paperback)
Mr. Eggelletion is to be commended on his research and his effort to relate the intricacies of the Federal Reserve system in a common sense way even a child could understand. The author is sharing the truth of a failing monetary system backed by nothing but promises, and a warning of what is to come. Essential reading for everyone who has an eye on the future!

should allow everyone to "see inside book" on every book on Amazon.com, not just a few books. I might buy more books if I could see inside every book. This book is a good read. I learned much that I didn't find in other books on this subject.
