Editorial Reviews

Review

It's not a white man conspiracy or a Jewish conspiracy-it's a money conspiracy gone out of control. -- Dick Gregory

Product Description

What the average person does not know about the directors of our monetary policy, the Federal Reserve, is the fact that there is absolutely nothing "Federal" about the Federal Reserve System, and neither does it have any "Reserves."

Eggelletion describes how the average American taxpayer struggles financially, because the important decisions about the economy are made not by elected officials, but by a group of businessmen out for profit. "Thieves in the Temple" is a must read for every thinking American.

4.0 out of 5 stars Interesting...., June 29, 2006
By Dnang (sioux city, iowa usa) - See all my reviews
First off, I can't believe that no one else has written a review on this, but anyway....
Overall this book is very insightful, basically it took an idea I was familiar with, and expanded on it. I really liked that the author explained fractional banking and all the other stuff because economically I am an idiot.
It is a scary subject that doesn't receive much airplay.
The only problem I had with the book was the random tangeants and his problems with George Bush. Don't get me wrong, I am not a Bush supporter, not by any means, but in the middle of talking about the creation of the Federal Reserve in 1913 he goes off on a tangeant about Bush stealing the election. Did it happen?, probably, but it really didn't fit here at all.
Overall it was good, but I just wish he would have kept his agenda out of it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Informative and Insightful, October 9, 2007
Mr. Eggelletion is to be commended on his research and his effort to relate the intricacies of the Federal Reserve system in a common sense way even a child could understand. The author is sharing the truth of a failing monetary system backed by nothing but promises, and a warning of what is to come. Essential reading for everyone who has an eye on the future!

3.0 out of 5 stars Needs an update, April 12, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Thieves in the Temple is a relatively easy read on this challenging topic. The author writes in a dramatic style that reminded me of a preacher. He's more of a rhetoritician than an academic. But that's okay. His message is succinct and worth hearing. However, history and events have overtaken this book. The past six months have been a historic exclamation point to the author's basic thesis- that the banks have way too much power and the little man is being consistently screwed. I'm certain that there is an updated analysis of the present situation in the works.

should allow everyone to "see inside book" on every book on Amazon.com, not just a few books. I might buy more books if I could see inside every book. This book is a good read. Read more
