Disappointed,
By A Customer
This review is from: Thimbleberries Classic Country Christmas (Hardcover)
I'm an avid quilter and love many of the quilts offered by Lynette Jensen. I had seen her on TV and she displayed the very quilt on the cover of the book. I ordered the book for the pattern and was very dismayed when I got the book that it didn't contain the pattern. I'm very disappointed that many of the items featured in her book didn't have patterns to go with them. In the back of the book what how to order them making me feel as if I purchased a catalog more than anything. The craft projects she did feature I found most to be generic. The book is decent for decorating and a few craft ideas but don't buy the book thinking you can making everything in it without buying more books or patterns.

Misleading....,

This review is from: Thimbleberries Classic Country Christmas (Hardcover)
I ordered this book, hoping to get the pattern for the Prairie Pines quilt (featured on the cover). Boy you can imagine how disappointed I was to find this pattern NOT included in the book. Instead the book seems to be devoted to home decorating tips, a few lackluster recipes, and a few small wall quilts.
While I will probably make a few of the wall quilts included, I'm disappointed that I will have to buy another book to get the pattern I want. This book is fine, but misleading... I was hoping to get started on my holiday quilting. Now I will have to wait until next month to buy the book with the right pattern.

Imitation is the greatest form of flattery!,

I received this book from one of my sisters for an early birthday gift and enjoyed it greatly! Lynette is a very talented artist and decorator! Next Christmas, along with a friend, I will be decorating a kitchen of an 1840's home and we plan on "borrowing" several of Lynette's ideas. We especially liked the arrangement of the bowls and thought it would be a clever idea for the pantry. Thanks for the primer.
