A reader from Minnesota
As the title of the book implies - this is a book about "finishing touches" and decorating for Christmas not a quilt book. In addition to Lynette's gifts as a quilt and fabric designer, she is also an accomplished gardener and decorator. This book reflects her insight and ability to put that all together. I use my copy as a "coffee table" book during the holidays.

I love Thimbleberries, but this one's a Stinker!
I am probably one of the world's biggest Thimbleberries/Lynette Jensen fans - I have made over 10 of her quilts and have several more in the works. I have five of her books and have enjoyed them all with one big exception - this one! It's just a bad rehash of photos from the "Christmas Cottage" book. No projects, no instructions, NOTHING! To make matters...

I am probably one of the world's biggest Thimbleberries/Lynette Jensen fans - I have made over 10 of her quilts and have several more in the works. I have five of her books and have enjoyed them all with one big exception - this one! It's just a bad rehash of photos from the "Christmas Cottage" book. No projects, no instructions, NOTHING! To make matters worse, all of the photos are taken in extreme close-up so there is no perspective on anything. Do youself a favor: spend your hard-earned money on one of the other worthwhile Thimbleberries books.
