I'm a fan of Jon Benson's other works and was happy to find his most recent book covers a subject that can often be overlooked...the effectiveness of a good walking protocol in your health goals.

What I LIKED MOST about this book was that Jon and Andrea took a simple, foundational exercise like walking... and broke it down into a precise plan.

As the author of the book:Train Your Taste To Trim Your Waist: A Simple Method To Love the Food That Loves You Back, I know a few things about focusing on the foundations as a key to getting the benefits from it.

Jon and Andrea laid out a great protocol with their WARRIOR WALKING ROUTINE. In about 23 minutes they show you how to get an amazing cardio and fat burning workout that will really help shed the pounds.

They do a great job of providing resources for treadmills and outside walking, and the funny part is, I find that I personally get a much better workout on the treadmill than I do outside, even IF I enjoy walking outside more.

The only thing I wish this book had more of is varied programs for people with alternate goals or situations that would make it more customized for them.

But overall, great job,

All of the promised "bonuses" were not delivered when requested. And one that did get delivered was a solicitation for additional advice for additional expense.

If you're looking for a good cardio workout, here it is. It tells you how not to lose muscle while you lose weight with cardio.

I read this in a day; it is a relatively short book. It starts with sizable amount of motivational stories, which are well written but if you want to get right to exercising --- then jump to the last chapter first. That's what I did-- then I went back and actually read ALL the motivation parts too. I saw a few bad reviews; come on people... it's a few dollars and contains much more research than any other beginner book I've read.

Very thorough and easy to understand & apply. I like the break down by chapter so you can pick and choose your study area.

It is refreshing to read something more than just 'instructions.' This book goes beyond the 'how to lose weight', reviews the medical reasons why (not just superficial reasons) and taps into the core of our true desire to lose weight- to reconstruct our self-esteem. You'll get information AND motivation from this quick and easy read. I'm on day 4 and ready to conquer!!

The majority of this book was anecdotal stories of the authors journey from fat to fit, all of which were interesting but the actual how to go about it was light on. I also bought the kindle version and the detailed instructions were tiny, I had to supersize the font, which made it impossible to gather the information off the page with any sense of ease. The info seems to be well supported with references to a range of studies. Easy reading that made a lot of sense, just hard to get to the specifics.
