With melodic guitar riffs, hard driving bass and drums and enigmatic vocals you'll be hard-pressed to find a more solid album put out this year. This tight quartet manages to pull out all the stops track after track, using only the bare essentials in instruments and remarkably producing all original material. The sound is reminiscent of early, dare I say, "grunge" when everything was just about the music. The songs are both evocative (as in "Broken Wings"&"Ambition") and urgent (as in "Mickey Mouse Blanket"&"Seldom Bled"). Minimal production, maximal rock......what more could you what?
