2.0 out of 5 stars why oh why
why can't anyone put out a good Thin Lizzy dvd? i have been wanting to buy one for the last several years and all i see are bad reviews on all of them. i saw them several times in states and one time in Germany. they kick ace every time. there has got to be good footage or at least some that with some effort could be cleaned up and sound quality repaired enough for us all...

4.0 out of 5 stars I think is not the best, May 10, 2007
This review is from: Thin Lizzy: The Ultimate Collection (DVD)
The first dvd talk about the story of the band, is good, you can see the mother of Phil, is very good dvd.
The second dvd is the famous concert in Sydney, good Show with Gary Moore but without Brian Downey, with M. Nauseef, no good sound for this concert.
The 3rd dvd is not good, I don't like to see live and dangerous in pieces, the vhs of live and dangerous is better good, and you will see the boys are back in town in 2 performance.
Non sense! Is better to see all live and dangerous.

5.0 out of 5 stars Disc 2... WHAT WHERE THEY THINKING!, January 24, 2006
This review is from: Thin Lizzy: The Ultimate Collection (DVD)
THE DISC FEATRURES A SUBPAR AT BEST RENDETION OF WHAT THE BAND TRULY WAS!.

First poor recording quality makes you wonder if the tape set in the back of a old ford pinto, before being rehashed in this disc. @ Secondly the master himself Gary Moore's guitar seemed to be out of tune during most of the show. For those of you that guage his talents on this disc are missing the sound that only Gary can lay out. Try Gary's solo release AFTER THE WAR to beter understand his brillance.(Pay attention to Blood of Emeralds)

OK Obvious question...If this is for hard core lizzy fans, they offer unseen footage on disc 1&3. Then do they believe we won't notice that the drummer that created the sound, was missing.....Sorry guys Mark Nauseef is a compedent drummer , but he is no Brian Downey.

Not to be redundant in complaints but the last two songs should have stayed on the cutting room floor. they have so much history to draw from , why end the show with such basic rockers as theses burned to the dvd..{sub par if you ask me)And why not Black Rose ..just maybe they would give us a bone....no Baby drives me crazy is the offering...come on guys....

Disc I & 2 I leave form the next guy.....
