This review is from: Thin Air (Audio CD)
Mary Halvorson and Jessica Pavone aren't the first women to explore avant-rock songwriting, but in this decade where dissonance and noise has continued to push further and further towards the mainstream, it's nice to see that there are those who can embrace the complex and idiosyncratic while retaining the warmth and femininity a couple of musically-talented women in their late twenties/early thirties with a violin and a hollow-body will naturally convey.
