I bought this as a gift but actually own the Xbox version. The game takes place about a decade or more after the remake of The Thing (the one with Kurt Russel). The game reveals many questions you may have had that were unanswered in the movie. If you have not seen the movie and are not a fan of it I do not recomend this game. I will warn you there are some really really challanging parts in the game but not enough to ruin it. This is a great survival/ horror/ action/ thinker. Yes, you will have to use your brain at times. This is not a just shoot everything all the time game and your done, though their is quite a bit of action in the game. One more "thing" be careful with that flame thrower, the game is in 3rd person but you can switch to 1st which you will want to do with the flame thrower or you'll be toast!!!

Insane, I ordered tis products in opes of getting the movie. But instead, I get the game which I tought was long gone, and still in it's sealed packaging to boot.
Now the grapics are old and not next-gen, the I actully ae to dumb down my machine alittle to play it right, but once I get the game going, it gold. Yes I've recently secured the DVD, but there something about playing The Ting that more entertaining. |
