"People always think of traveling for vacations, but with a family busy with sports and school, I needed to know what was nearby," Watson said. "I love finding out obscure historical facts about an area. Since most pioneers traveling west in the 1800s passed through Boone County, either by the Missouri River, by rail, or along the Boone's Lick Trail, it has a rich heritage," Watson said. "I wanted to share that history with others."
