Jan Ellen Brown is a such an incredible person. I've personally benefitted from her guidance as a lactation consultant when I was nursing my first child. This book is a great resource for new nursing moms (and veteran nursing moms) who are learning the ropes during the trying, exciting, confusing and wonderful time as you and your baby get to know one another and establish your nursing groove. It reassures you not to be too hard on yourself, provides helpful resources and suggestions, and generally the type of reassurance that a gal needs to hear and feel when she's nursing her baby.

I am a Board Certified Lactation Consultant and I work with new mothers and babies learning to breastfeed. I love this book with its beautifully drawn pictures. It contains all the latest research cleverly disguised in easy to digest bits of advice. Its a wonderful gift for an expecting mother or for anyone who is breastfeeding.
