This review is from: 100 Things Every Online Student Ought to Know (Paperback)
100 Things every online student ought to know is a very disappointing book. It is written on an elementary level and makes assumptions that the reader knows nothing about computers or internet use. I bought the book 1/2 way through my online class and was unable to pick out anything relevant from the book. Some of the example's every online student ought to know are: (Christ & Ganey, 2003)
1) Set time aside for studying 2) Do not give out your password 3) Proof read your e-mails 4) E-mail your instructor if you have questions 5) Read the Syllabus 6) Learn how to use search engines. This would be a great book for my grandma who has never used a computer before, however irrelevant for most modern college students.
