I think this is eli's best disc and for good reason. Alot of my friends think second hand clothing is better but the sleepers on this disc rule. Captain is one of the coolest songs ever. I loved it right away. eli is a unique artist. I pray that God keeps this guy making music.

This CD is not like any other out there. Every song has a deep meaning. There is a lot of inspiration every time you listen. You'll never get tired of listening.

b4 my conversion i listenned to Cat Stevens eli "sounds-like" him but his lyrics are God sent If i were wealthy I'd buy a copy of this for everyone. This artist makes you reflect, relax, and think. It's motivational. A nice switch from Sunday's hymms, to help you get through the week. I listen to this when i clean and my 12,9,and 4 year old sing along cuz "it's cool" music mom. ps the baby likes it too.

This is Eli's greatest work yet. It takes the listener on a spiritual journey into the core of their soul. I also recommend seeing Eli in concert. it is a moving ground breaking evening.

Eli is great live as well. I saw him with Steven Delopoulos recently, and both of them blew me away! If you like quality, inspirational acoustic guitar, check out Eli and Steven Delopoulos. These guys should be Platinum sellers. That's how tight they are!

Eli has always been a great and nice person. He has always inspired everyone around him, especially me. This alblum seems to me like a great beginning for him, and i consider it his best work. I knew eLi personally when this alblum was first released. He is a terrific person and deserves the highest of praise for his music in this alblum, Second Hand Clothing, Now the News, and all of his future hits!

10 tracks of listening pleasure on this CD. Not a weak track here. LETTERS, CAPTAIN, SPARROW and RIGHTEOUS BEGGARS are exceptional tracks let alone the ones that received substantial airplay. Production is top notch - great playing and songwriting. Shame on FOREFRONT RECORDS for not submitting this as a Grammy nomination!

This is definitely one of the best albums of the year. It should definitely win the Dove award for album of the year. Eli is such a great singer and his songs really touched my heart in a time of emotional need. His song "God Weeps Too" is the most beautiful song I have ever heard and I am honored to know it and to say I wept when I heard it. Eli should definitely be commended on his great music and I can't wait for his next album.

I first heard Eli on a bus on a mission trip. I really liked the sound and then I listened to the words-WOW! Starting with "That's all the lumber" this is incredible! God has blessed Eli with a gift of music, and it will bless you too!

I heard the song "Things I prayed for" on a local Christian station and really related with the story it tells. Especially since I'm now in my thirties and teaching a group of teenagers in my local church. It makes you look at your past and really appreciate the times-whether good or bad. God uses our experiences to really teach us about sacrifice, patience, love, and character. I'm playing it in class tonight so maybe just a little positive influence will go a long way.
