5.0 out of 5 stars Great remixes for TV theme song., April 22, 2004
By K. Eisenberger "dance music freak!" (Defiance, Ohio United States) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
These are the FULL length mixes for the theme from Queer Eye For The Straight Guy show from Bravo. This is Widelife with vocals by Simone Denny. This track recently hit number 5 on the Billboard club play chart and really should have been higher. The hooks , the retro vibe, the diva vocals and now great remixes make this song a classic. The basic idea of the song is a positive one and it comes through on all the mixes.
1- Original Version (2:45)
2- HQ2 Club Mix(7:32)
3- Jason Nevins Big Room Mix(9:30)
4- Jason Nevins Hands Up Mix(6:42)-both mixes are the best ones because they pump a harder dance groove and suit the song so well.
5- Barry Harris Interpration Mix(9:28)- a little more disco vibe than his Thunderpuss mixes.
Excellent cd single and remixes.

5.0 out of 5 stars GAY AND PROUD, March 27, 2004
By Joe L (Sydney, AUSTRALIA) - See all my reviews
I've waited for this CDsingle for its release and it's worth it. The album version sounds absoloutely fantastic but would have been much nicer if they've included the original version used at the beginning of each Queer Eye...show. The HQ2 remix sounds like a glam disco version and quite repetitive. Jason Nevins Big Room Mix is a pumping progressive house-trance with its delightful synths and dreamy keyboards. The Hands Up Mix is a classic vocal club remix. Barry Harris Mix sounds tribal and very dancable... makes your heart sing. Truly one of the best dance track release this year. I'll recommend this to all.

2.0 out of 5 stars Warning, don't expect to play this on a PC/MP3 player, May 28, 2004
By Lightray (Seattle, WA United States) - See all my reviews
Since it isn't noted by Amazon or any of the other reviewers:

This CD uses the Cactus copy-control software, which makes it pretty difficult/impossible to play on most PC CD drives, some DVD players, and of course, if you can't rip it, you can't get it on your portable MP3/WMA player.

Just want people to be aware of this before they order something and then have to return it.
