5.0 out of 5 stars Best book about the Mets on the market.
I am a diehard Mets fan and have been since 1969. I have read LOTS of Mets books over the years and most were good reads. This book , by far is the best. It reviews the top 100 most famous moments as a Met fan. LET'S GO METS!

3.0 out of 5 stars 98% Should Know - 2% Should Do!
I am an avid Met fan and I did enjoy reading about the history of the Mets and top Mets moments, but I found the title of the book to be a little decieving.

There were only 2 thing TO DO in the whole book attend a Met Road game and have you kids run the Mr Met Dash.

How about watch a Met practice during spring training.
Watch a spring...

Fantastic must-read book for all Met fans young and old. Provides all of the details statistically to make you an expert on Mets' baseball. I have been a fan of the Mets since they first came into the National League and I have been to many of their games. This books reviews both the memorable and the quirky players who have played for the team.....and they are memorable and quirky indeed, from Marvelous Marv Thronberry to Casey Stengal, the master of entertaining double-talk. The book clearly invokes memories that will live forever in Mets' lore. Pete Rose (Charlie Hustle) barrelling into second baseman, Elio Chacon, and the ensuing brench clearing brawl that followed after Rose bodily picked up Chacon and threw him out towards center field. There is also great highlights of the Miracle Mets of 1969 season, the shoe polish on Cleon Jones spikes and the fantastic diving catches by Ron Swobda. It's all here.

Very entertaining book! Bought it for my father, a lifelong Mets fan. He enjoyed reading it and reminising about the clubs history.

5.0 out of 5 stars Essential Met factoids, May 31, 2011
I never realized Yogi Berra is an important figure in Met history! This is an essential volume for any Mets fan with off beat tidbits as well as interesting takes on Casey, Bud Harrelson and Seaver. The dry humor is a nice touch.

Watch a spring training game or better yet watch the Mets play two games in one day at two spring training parks.

The book was a good read but I was looking more for places to go or things to do!
