THIS BOOK IS ANYTHING BUT A DOWNER,

I really love this book. I just gave it to three different friends who are having their first baby. The book is fun and I found it helpful to have a book which reminds me that there are lots of things I can do to feel pretty and attractive while my body goes through so many changes. I did not get it for a lot of technical or medical info, but for a cute, funny, darling, up-beat short read with great prose and a great attitude. I have given 10 copies as gifts so far and will definetely continue to do so. Get this book for your friends pregnant for the first time or the 5th - it is a lot of fun and you can learn a bunch of important things from it, too. Many ideas are original and I have not seen them discussed in any of the many different pregnancy and child development books I've read.

A warm, and light hearted taste of pregnancy!,

This book was given to my daughter when she got pregnant. It is not a guide, not a medical reference manual... there are enough of those out there. It is a colorful little book of advice about how to enjoy being pregnant, written especially for the mother, who is, let's face it, often not the focus of the pregnancy. There is nothing wrong with pampering yourself, and feeling good about yourself, and this author gives you tips on how to do exactly that. For the price, it is well worth it. I hope there will be another about post delivery soon... My daughter delivers in three months!

Cute but a Downer,

We all know that pregnancy means getting big and awkward, and that we'll need more support from our friends and families. This book, though, rather than cheering me through the hard parts, just ticked me off. For all the feisty attitude, there is a depressing, sexist feel to these 125 Things. I acknowledge that making yourself look good can help you feel good, but for goodness' sakes, why waste energy caring about shaving your legs when you're using all your resources to nurture a baby? Instead, I'd like some advice or guidance that helps me feel good about being exhausted and swept up in such rapid physical changes.Just pass this one by. Surely there is a more confident or positive humorous guide to pregnancy out there.

I am only 8 weeks pregnant and am a little worried about announcing my condition. I have been enjoying this little book, which is the gem that the above review promises. It takes the edge off, and make passsing the time easier. I wanted to give it to a friend who also has just gotten pregnant, but apparently it is hard to find, and has sold out. So get it here if you can.

If you are tired of too much info, THIS IS FOR YOU!,

I found myself getting crazy about each ache and pain, and jumping to conclusions about everything! Too much reading, not enough relaxation. This book is not a medical reference, not a "how to guide,"... it is just an adorable, easy-going, reminder that sometimes pregnancy doesn't have to be all that much to fret about! For the price, it is well worth the smiles, and chuckles it produces.

Really simple guide to pregnancy,

This book is really cute and provides a "not too much information" approach to pregnancy. The 125 tips are useful and informative especially to first timers like myself. It provides a welcome break from the heavy reading of books like WHAT TO EXPECT. Makes a great gift for someone who is expecting!

I bought this , as well as a few other books about pregnancy, for my daughter-inlaw who just found out she was pregnant. She called to say that this was her favorite! Apparently it is just good for the pregnant soul....Pick it up!

To expensive, but cute (borrow it),

I borrowed my copy from the library. It was cute, but not worth the money period. This would be cute to read say in a the obgyn waiting room. It's not something you want to spend the money to ship and wait for this in the mail. If you think it's cute for a friend get it from the library, read the book, get some ideas and make your own.

This book is light and easy, and you can tell that the author had fun with it. I believe it was intended as as heart to heart kind of book, short and to the point, letting the reader know that this time when you are expecting is to be enjoyed. I believe that the book sends just that message. Take it to heart, and be happy. Good luck with all your babies!
