Beth has a unique way of writing that reveals her tender heart toward the Lord and causes you to evaluate your own relationship with the Living Lord Jesus Christ. I bought this book at a First Place Conference after having the blessing of hearing Beth speak and share some of the works from Things Pondered. Beth has the gift of putting into words what many Moms and women feel in their hearts, but may be unable to express with words. A great book to encourage intimacy with our Heavenly Father.

With all of the self-help books and motivational seminars, it's easy to feel inadequate in this life. It's almost as if, when you're facing illness or sadness or failure, YOU are to blame, because someone out there has a solution you should have seized. The reality of it is, we are not in control, despite what our egos think! And sometimes, we will face these struggles...inevitably! The key is to be anchored to Someone greater than yourself! I found Beth Moore's book refreshing and so funny. She is candid about what we face in life...the disappointments, the trials, the joy, the wonder of it all. And she makes no apologies for relying on Jesus Christ as her only sustanance. I would recommend this book especially to moms, adoptive parents, brides-to-be, and grandmothers needing a good laugh! A quick and thoroughly enjoyable read...

If you love Beth Moore, you will not only have a compilation of some of the wonderful personal writings she has shared in her studies, but you will also learn more about Beth and the challenges she has faced in her life that has made her the inspired woman of God that she is today. God uses her mightily to minister to others, and her tender heart and love for God comes through so beautifully in this additional gift of creative writing and poetry. A delightful, heart-provoking read.

After reading this wonderful compilation of ponderings in one setting, I immediately bought ten copies and gave them to my dearest friends. Heartwarming and sincere, this book is truly food for the soul.

I bought this book 2 years ago, and it still continues to touch my heart today. I cannot help but to be drawn to the Saviour after reading these poems. I recommend it to all who have a relationship with the Lord. You will be blessed.
