The book is a rehash of what has been said and discussed and is common sense across most families trying to keep to a budget. The author offers no real insight into managing a budget at all. I was hoping this would give some idea of how to plan a budget better, but instead it talks about going to garage sales, using coupons, waiting for sales...I'm sorry but an average intelligence person already knows all this.

This was just what I was looking for. Many, many young people today are trying to start their family lives without the heritage of mothers, grandmothers, to pass along this kind of help. They are coming out of fractured families, foster care, or group homes without these basic tools. What seems obvious to us can be invisible to them, but extremely important in building their own lives brick by brick. Thank you for this book.
