Book Description

Esquire Books (Hearst) October 1, 2005
A wickedly humorous look at this many rite of passage.

There are certain times in a guy's life when everything changes--and turning 30 is a huge milestone. No more excuses: you are, or should be, a full-fledged adult. To make things a little smoother on this momentous occasion, Esquire lets you know exactly what a man should no longer be doing. Just in case you can't figure it out for yourself. Here are just a few of the never-to-be-forgotten, wildly funny rules about the old habits you simply have to leave behind:

See any movie with elves, mutants, wookies, or other non-human characters on opening night

Figure out which dirty words are spelled by phone number.

High five in a business situation

Travel to attend a Phish concert

Have any furniture that involves cinder blocks

Google ex-girlfriends

Editorial Reviews

Review

"Esquire is special because it's a magazine for men. Not a fashion magazine for men, not a health magazine for men, not a money magazine for men. It is not any of these things; it is all of them. It is, and has been for nearly seventy years, a magazine about the interests, the curiosity, the passions, of men." David Granger - Editor in Chief."

HUMOR

There are certain times in a guy’s life when everything changes—and turning thirty is one of them. No more excuses: you have finally become an adult (or at least we hope you have). To guide you through this important milestone and beyond, Esquire lets you know just what it is you shouldn’t be doing anymore (in case you can’t figure it out yourself).

NO BETTER AND EASIER GIFT TO GIVE YOUR BUD WHO IS TURNING 30. I BOUGHT A STACK OF THEM AND JUST HAND OUT WHEN A BUDDY TURNS 30, AND EASH IS LIKE 10 BUCKS. NO BRAINER AND TASTEFUL.

Almost every guy I know over the age of 30 does 80 percent of these things! Very insightful Esquire. A lot of fun and a great gift...

(PS: To the above, If you don't get that it's a HUMOR book, maybe the lack of dairy is starting to affect your brain...)

Now I know a few things I have to do in the next year!! This tiny book is funny and witty, and a pleasure to read. If you can get it via low-priced used book sellers I do recommend it.

Enjoy,
Dave
