The book covers all roofing systems. Although it has specifications and shows how roofs are applied it primarily deals with problems that exist in all the roof systems that are created as a result of poor workmanship or deception on the part of the roofing contractor and the builder. It also deals with why roofing products fail and why certain specifications are failures. It shows the problems in photo illustrations as well as how to remedy those problems. The section on construction defect litigation deals primarily with how lawyers take advantage of homeowners in construction lawsuits.
It has several hundred photo illustrations of roofing issues. Additionally there are several hundred questions and answers a homeowner or consumer would ask of an expert. The case studies, on site experiences and details all combine to give the reader a comprehensive view of the roofing industry and concerns.
