Made for TV Movie - Good Drama,
By Richard Zynda (Madison, WI United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Things in Their Season [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This was the first movie by well known actress Patricia Neal, following her recovery from a stroke. Playing the role of a farmer's wife who learns she has cancer - the role fits her well, as she recovered from the stroke and was still somewhat fragile. Ed Flanders, who plays her husband, is a strong character actor, known for his lead role in St. Elsewhere. Marc Singer and Meg Foster, as the son and daughter-in-law, and partners in the family farm, fill out the experienced cast. The movie, filmed in the farmland of east central Wisconsin, is well directed and filmed - and a good, clean drama. Recommended for fans of these fine actors!
