About the Author

In addition to being a writer, speaker, and trainer, Rebekah Shardy is the founder and director of the Mighty Muse Writing Program for Women, a nonprofit creative writing program that enables low-income and socially disadvantaged women to publish their experience of social reality. This is a must read. Even if you are not a woman, the author gives you life experiences to think about. Moreover, the author approaches life experiences in a very positive and affirming way. This is a great book to give as a gift to your best friend and others. Life is worth living after reading this book.

I am buying this book for all of my friends who are female. We need these reminders; we need this cheer; we need this irreverence. In this world where women are afraid to be different, this book gives courage to those who dare to be different!

It was fun to pass around at a quilting meeting. Some things they suggest I'd really do (like take fried chicken to the crew at the local emergency room on the 4th of July), some things seem ridiculous, but good for a laugh. Notice the dimensions of the book, it is small. It makes a nice little gift for the hard-to-buy for.
