Decent product. Good green idea. Only works well with one sheet at a time. Needs better crank and gears to handle more paper at a time to be more efficient.

I was looking for a tiny paper shredder with a hand crank, and that's what I got. I use mine for shredding personal info and for turning my extra paper into bedding for my pet rodents, and I'm thrilled with it. I love how skinny the strips are, and I'm paying less on pet supplies now that I can add shredded paper to their cages. It is not made for shredding large wads of paper at the same time, but it is perfect for a home that wants a "green" shredder that is quieter and tinier than the other products on the market. I give it a 4 and not a 5 because mine came with a crack in the plastic bin and I don't expect it to be as durable as I'd have liked. It still functions and wasn't worth dealing with the hassle of the return process, but keep in mind that you get what you pay for. Now if only the plastic bin were marked with chasing arrows so I could recycle it when it ceases to be functional!

I was quite disappointed with this product. It will not shred any paper thicker than onion skin and then only on the ends, not in the middle of the page. It merely creates accordion folds.

I purchased this, as opposed to the other manual shredders here, because of the styling, which I do like. That was a mistake. It is useful only as a curiosity, perhaps as a tub for a terrarium.

This is the only shredder that I found which made the perfect size strips for quilling. It is not the best quality in the world, but for what I wanted, it serves the purpose. Definitely not for daily shredding of sensitive documents.

Well, like the tag says, you get what you pay for. It wasn't long before more than one sheet went through and warped the cutting bar.

I rarely need a shredder and thought - hey - it's small - inexpensive - just what I need. The quality on the unit is fine - but from a practical standpoint - it is a three hand operation to use it - one to turn the crank - one to hold the unit down and one to feed the document. Get and electric....... I have never given a product one star before.....
