Ace guitarist and vocalist Chris James and bassist Patrick Rynn lay down some fine upbeat sounds on this collection. By reaching back to cover songs by traditional blues legends like Elmore James and Bo Diddley and adding some satisfying originals to round out the mix, the duo's Stop and Think About It is a solid album blues fans are sure to enjoy.

Of the twelve tracks included on the disc, five are penned by James and Rynn. Two of their stand out numbers are "Mr. Coffee" and the title cut "Stop and Think About It." Both feature strong lyrics, James's intense guitar riffs and the outstanding harmonica accompaniment of Bob Corritore.

The rendition of Bo Diddley's classic "Mona" is quite arguably the best cover yet recorded due to James's sizzling guitar work. Other highlights include "Early One Morning" and "My Kind of Woman," two of the four Elmore James covers.

Stop and Think About It is one of the most powerful collections of traditional blues tracks available and one no blues lover will want to miss.

This CD is fantastic. From the first listen I was hooked, I especially like Mr. Coffee, I'd Like To Write A Letter, Stop And Think About It and Relaxin' At The Clarendon. From Grandma to my 6 month old everyone loves the CD, it will not disappoint!
