This is the best cd in the entire world. One Boy, One Girl is the best song that I have ever heard, and the rest of the cd is just as wonderful. Collin has a way of bringing so much emotion to the words of a song that anybody would love. I have all of his cds and plan to keep on getting them as they come out. He has changed my life so much. Keep up the great work Collin. Your in my thoughts and prayers constantly. Thank you for everything!

A soul-touching album,
This review is from: I Think About You (Audio CD)
This album is full of songs that touch the heart and soul. There's more than one on here that can bring tears to my eyes. Anyone who has a little daughter can relate to the title track. It's a sad statement on the way things are. "What if Jesus comes back like that" is a song that should get people thinking about those less fortunate than themselves. "One boy, One girl" is a beautiful tale of love. Country music has a way of speaking to one's heart and for telling life's stories, and this album is one of the best to do that.

Another great album from country superstar Collin Raye. This is a very heartfelt album and definitely worth buying to anyone who enjoys music from the heart. This album isn't too country for pop fans, but is country enough for tried and true country fans who would never buy anything else. The best songs on this album are (IMHO) "Not That Different," "What If Jesus Comes Back Like That," and "Love Remains." The entire album stands as a wonderful example of Collin's incredible talent.

The singing and the writing in this c.d. are really great.,

This c.d. is fantastic! I was very impressed with the song writing, and I don't think the singing could have been any better. This c.d. reminds me of Collin Raye's earlier c.d. "Extremes" because it contains several great songs that never became singles. "The Time Machine" sticks out in particular to me. This is one c.d. I can listen to over and over again and actually like more every time I hear it. I highly reccomend it!

Another excellent Collin Raye CD that is worth collecting if you are a "die-hard" country fan.

A Raye of light,

I came upon this CD while rummaging through a $ 1,- bargain bin and decided to take a (tiny) chance, never having heard of the artist or knowing what to expect. Am i ever glad i did ! This guy blew me away from the getgo, both with his expressive voice combining power and genuine emotion and the superlative quality of his songwriting. It's been a long time since i've been this impressed with any artist or group working outside my customary field of musical preference. Collin Raye stands for "contemporary" country music, the adjective being the operative word, for country is fused with rock music in a manner agreeable to lovers of both genres. Evidence of which can be found in great tracks such as catchy opener "I think about you" (if this has never been a hit single, it should have been !), "Not that different" (my favorite song on the album: it's vocal and lyrical perfection !) as well as two of the best ballads i've heard in any genre, "I volunteer" and "Love remains", with which this CD finishes on a high note. Although i've heard he tends to overemphasize family values, i found Collin Raye's lyrics to be original, highly inventive and at times even moving: the role reversal in "Not that different", the twist in the tale of "One boy, one girl", the intriguing premise of "What if Jesus comes back like that" and the (barstool) metaphor in the melancholic "The time machine" are all cleverly conceived. Not coincidentally these are among the best tracks on the album. "Sweet miss behavin' " and "I love being wrong" are the kind of straight forward, upbeat tracks that i'd like to describe as good time music. "Heart full of rain" is a more traditional country song, and as such less convincing. There is some nice pianoplaying throughout, most prominently on "Not that different" and "Love remains". The album's sound is exemplary, the three-man production team having done an immaculate job. If this were your typical modern country album, i'd be linedancing before you can say "Billy Ray Cirus". But i doubt whether this level is achieved by many. While "I think about you" is as good as a country album gets, i'm sorry to say that Collin Raye's "Extremes"(which i purchased a few months later) doesn't even come close. Just so you know...
