5.0 out of 5 stars A rare raging gem...

THINK AGAIN takes on a wide range of political issues and the book allows us to retrace recent history and see how these artists have reconstituted popular visual lexicons to interpret this period. 1.0 out of 5 stars Tabula Rasa; please retired!
It seems to me that nowadays people who think they can make a difference are so eager to jump into the vanwogan of useless causes. I am all pro being conscious about equal rights and awareness of mass indoctrination but books like this unfortunately misses the mark. They concentrate in merely pointless recreminations that really amount to nothing. Illustrations are...

A great compilation of the work of artists collaborative THINK AGAIN with a visual essay on economic, political and cultural trends in the U.S. and globally. THINK AGAIN takes on a wide range of political issues and the book allows us to retrace recent history and see how these artists have reconstituted popular visual lexicons to interpret this period. It's beautiful enough to be a coffee table book and may even inspire you to put down your coffee and take some action.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, slick political art!, March 25, 2004

Got this book from a friend and really, it's awesome. The book is a collection of political posters and other projects, and will definitely appeal to anyone left-of-center. If you like Ad Busters or Michael Moore, you'll LOVE this book. There's work on economic justice, activism, hate crimes, and anti-war stuff. It's a must have if you're feeling depressed by the Bush-era.

It's full color, and will definitely prompt a lot of conversation to anyone who you show it too. I use it to talk my conservative friends into having better politics.

5.0 out of 5 stars INSPIRING , BRILLIANT, POIGNANT, May 3, 2004

This review is from: Think Again: A Brief History Of Outrage (Paperback)
A BRIEF HISTORY OF OUTRAGE digs deep to expose and analyse complex issues of empire, target marketing, gentricication, and whiteness. The graphic images are compelling and thought provoking,
the book combats political indifference by making it impossible for the reader to ignore issues of privilage, the right wing bias of mainstream television. The book uplifts with wit and celebration of sexuality and queerness. The text is spot on , the images sharp and effective.
This book is a must have for anyone with an acitvist impulse in their body. importantly this book is a tool for those who need to be brought to political consciousness.

I am all pro being conscious about equal rights and awareness of mass indoctrination but books like this unfortunately misses the mark. They concentrate in merely pointless recreminations that really amount to nothing. Illustrations are ordinary articles are full of absurd if not trivial anecdotes.
