This game is so much fun! I purchased it years ago, and raced through it! I am 23 years old, and still like to pick it up once in a while - it challenges me to this day. The cards you are given look easy, but as you work your way through the deck you realize it's not as easy as you think. People of any age group will find it fun, but addictive. As you play, you learn to visualize things in a new way, which is useful in real life. The back of the cards have hints in case you get stuck - one hint shows where a few pieces go; the other hint shows the rest. You can use whichever hint you feel you need more. All around, this is a fun game that doesn't take long to learn and can be enjoyed by everyone!

My 7 year old daughter and I play the dual set brick by brick and race to see who can build the puzzle the fastest! The puzzles are all challenging and great for those interested in mathematical concepts-geometry, espcially and for the spatially-inclined!We recently had adult guests for dinner and my 7 year old entertained them the entire evening with this game and Rush Hour (also by Binary Arts)

Being a school grade teacher, I am often looking for games that will challenge the mind. My children and I found this game both challenging and fun. It does cause younger children a bit of frustration, but they don't want to give up. They just keep trying harder!

The concept seems so deceptively simple - use just five 3-dimensional puzzle pieces shaped like stacked bricks and arrange them into 60 different symmetrical configurations as shown on the supplied deck of cards.
The puzzles to match are on one side of each numbered card and the solutions are on the back. The little game is a welcome distraction and nicely takes your mind off other things. I'm middle aged and I enjoy it. My little boy likes it and I would bet that seniors would like it too if they have enjoyed puzzles all their lives. I just recommended to my brother for his 20 year old who is recuperating from leg surgery.

From all I understand, this is a great game; however, Amazon needs to tweek the description of this item. What I wanted was the version of the game with plastic bricks that comes with a card deck and a travel case (first 3 or 4 pictures). Skip over to the last picture - this is what I received - the metal version of the game that comes with a booklet, not cards. First of all, I don't feel these versions should be sold as the same item. I was planning to use this as an occasional fun, yet challenging, mental break for our homeschooling curriculum. I can't just hand my kids the booklet with pages full of tiny images and the answers all together. Won't work.
Second, the item was damaged when I received it. Two of the red inlay pieces on the metal (to make it look like bricks) had fallen out and they don't pop back in. You would think the metal version is even nicer than the plastic, but it's not. It's cheaply made. Very disappointed. This is the first time I've ever been unhappy with something I ordered from Amazon. Bummer.

This is one you want to add to your cart. If you have a gifted child, he/she would love it! Basic details follow these lines: You have a card with a brick pattern on it. You have 5 brick pieces. You have to match the pattern on the card with the plastic bricks. Easy enough? Sure! I have it in my classroom and you should too!

This is a challenging game for kids and adults alike. We had a room full of people playing with it and very few were able to solve any puzzles. It was frustrating for my 5 year old son as he wasn't able to solve a single puzzle without first reading the solution.

Begged my mother for this when I was in 8th grade. Played with it religiously over the years... even took it to the L&D room to keep me occupied through contractions for my first son. Ended up giving it to my friend while she was recovering from gall bladder surgery. She loved it so much, she kept my set. Can't say that I blame her. So I finally went online to buy a set for myself. Got a set for my nephew, aunt and cousin in the process as well. This game is amazing - it really is. I can't wait to teach my own children how to play. You'll never get bored!
Also, recieved this ridiculously fast. Kudos to Amazon.

We just got it this week, it is very fun to play, good brain exercise. Easy to carry, only need one player.
But it doesn't seem to be challenging at all. My 8 year old and I went through 40+ of them easily.

Hey Everybody! What a great game. As a vision therapist I am always looking for fun activities for our patients that really improve visual perceptual skills. This "Brick by Brick" nails it. I started out testing it on my kids (ages 13 and 4)both showed great interest and loved the feeling of accomplishment on completing each card.(oldest one liked the fact he could beat Dad!) I have since then brought it into the therapy center (www.wavtc.com) this has been recieved very well. The Doctor and other therapists are very impressed and the patients both older and younger all have enjoyed the game. It is perfect for 3D spatial reasoning, visual perception and visual memory. ALL PARENTS grab this game for your kids and grandkids and have fun while developing skills that will help them through out life.
