It's very easy and can be learned with little or not instruction once you've seen a round played. You each get a certain number of square picture cards, 6 for a 2 player game, and less the more players there are. You can always have at least that many in your hand, but never more. You can draw new cards whenever you want to keep your hand stocked.
The Hyper Swiper is filled with round cards that have a pattern of three of the images on them, the trick is that there are 4 different color themes with 3 different images each and they all look surprisingly similar. For example the green images are a leaf, a baseball cap and a lizard. They are all about the same shape and all have black lines defining what they are, so you have to look closely to make sure one of your cards matches one of the images on the round cards. If it does, you swipe it!
If you touch or grab a round card that you don't have a match to, you keep it in a separate pile than your matches and it counts against your score.
There are also trash and treasure cards that look a lot a like...a treasure gives you a point and a trash card loses you a point.Read more ›
Your kids will love racing against each other to collect the most image matches as they pop out of the HyperSwiper! We have been playing the game with our kids and have been having a blast! We had actually been playing quite a bit of matching games before getting HyperSwipe, but were surprised at how creative and new this game concept was!
The innovative, high-tech features of the battery-operated "swiper" really take things above and beyond! But don't worry, although it is tech-savvy, the game is still quite easy to play. A round card will pop out of the HyperSwiper machine and then you have to try and match the images on the card with the images on the square cards in your hand. But be careful--get a wrong match and you get points taken away! Some of the images are pretty similar so you really have to pay attention and keep your eyes peeled for the correct matches! HyperSwipe is great for hand-eye coordination, reflexes, and of course, matching! Everyone in our family enjoyed it, from young to old!
