5.0 out of 5 stars ACT and Grow Rich
The title of this book is slightly misleading, at least in our age of magical "get rich quick" schemes (like "The Secret"). As Napoleon Hill repeats, you cant get money for nothing. Instead, success depends on actions--but successful actions depend on positive thoughts. Unlike today's short books that say "think about money and you'll get it," Hill spends fourteen...

3.0 out of 5 stars This book has been confused with another!
This book (with light blue cover with trees, and ISBN-10: 1438241585) has somehow gotten mixed up on Amazon with another version of "Think and Grow Rich," namely the one whose full title is "Think and Grow Rich!: The Original Version, Restored and Revised (with a dark red, royal blue, gold cover and ISBN-10: 1593302002, published by Aventine Press). The 126 or so "reader...

The 126 or so "reader reviews" that appear with THIS book (light blue cover) have somehow been "lifted" from the Amazon page for the other book (published by Aventine)! For one thing, this light-blue cover book is only 244 pages. The other book (ISBN-10:1593302002) has 412 pages - and many valuable features that this light-blue book does not contain!

If you are looking for the 412-page book with the full title "Think and Grow Rich!: The Original Version, Restored and Revised," you must do a search for that exact title or for ISBN-10:1593302002.

Instead, success depends on actions--but successful actions depend on positive thoughts. Unlike today's short books that say "think about money and you'll get it," Hill spends fourteen chapters spelling out exactly how we can focus our minds on definite goals, convert our deepest desires into actions, succeed, and then--finally!--grow rich.

This review is from: Think and Grow Rich: 70th Anniversary Edition (Updated) (Paperback)
I read this book 30 years ago. It was refreshing to be reminded how our thoughts can change not only our income but our position in our lives. So much is out there today about "THE SECRET" well Napoleon Hill shared this information decades ago. When you are ready to change and have the abundance come forth read this book.

1.0 out of 5 stars outdated edition, November 1, 2008
This review is from: Think and Grow Rich: 70th Anniversary Edition (Updated) (Paperback)
This version of Napoleon Hill's classic is the outdated one containing numerous errors. There is at least one other edition that has a tremendous amount of new research material. It and others are far better for anyone who truly wants to understand the Think and Grow Rich philosophy and techniques.

5.0 out of 5 stars A primer to accomplish anything, October 28, 2008

This review is from: Think and Grow Rich: 70th Anniversary Edition (Updated) (Paperback)
This book lays the foundation for most of the motivational teachers today including Bob Proctor and Brian Tracy who do an excellent job in expanding these concepts. To realize this book was written over seventy years ago and is still completely relevant and applicable to our present financial problems is a testament to the logic and forethought Napoleon Hill put into his research.

1.0 out of 5 stars Dumb, dumb and dumb by Best Success Book Publishing, December 24, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Think and Grow Rich: 70th Anniversary Edition (Updated) (Paperback)
Amazon needs a "no stars" category. Why? It's clear that the publisher didn't "think" this edition through. Let me explain... They kept many, many, many of the scriptures that Napoleon Hill used from the King James version of the Bible, but then spent the whole last chapter of their updated version of his book disagreeing with the Bible, calling it religious fanaticism. Again, the publisher of this updated edition didn't "think" this one through at all.

This review is from: Think and Grow Rich: 70th Anniversary Edition (Updated) (Paperback)
I am definitely going to purchase this book, I felt so motivated and touched after reading the translation version in vietnamese. I dont know how different it might be in English, maybe slight different in the context. I am goin to experiment it and enjoy a lot of time reading this book with pleasure. This is my first post ever and it has been almost 5 years since I've purchase a book like this :) hope that this book is the same as the one i was reading and just as good.
