5.0 out of 5 stars Think pink, October 24, 2008
This review is from: Think Pink: Crochet for the Cure (Annie's Attic: Crochet) (Paperback)
I am excited about starting some of the projects in the book. It is great there are large projects and small projects for all skill levels. These are projects that can be shared with friends or donated to people who need to be cheered.

5.0 out of 5 stars If you like feminine and pretty, look here..., April 6, 2009
This review is from: Think Pink: Crochet for the Cure (Annie's Attic: Crochet) (Paperback)
First of all, everything in here is very pretty. There are hats, neck scarves, shawls, booties, table runner, pillows, lap size aphgans and even bookmarkers & a fabric crocheted basket. As can be predicted, everything in here is pink. Most items have the pink ribbon design thrown in there as well. All look like they would be wonderful gifts whether they be pink or any other color you decide, whether it be for someone fighting cancer, or anyone on your gift list. I've been crocheting for a long time, and am happy to finally see some pretty hats and other beautiful items that I would feel proud to give as a gift to someone or make for myself. I've seen way too many crochet patterns that looked just bulky, ugly & juvenile. But you won't find that in this book. They are all pretty. UPDATE: I want to make everything in here! The "booties" were quick and easy to make (these are adult sized and look like a pair of big bulky socks....for lounging in, not walking around.) The "filet book bag" made from crochet cotton & has a pink ribbon design on the front also goes together really quickly. There are two nice sized shawls that I want to make next. The pink camo afghan keeps catching my eye, so I am out to look for that color of yarn this morning. Everything in here looks like something I want to make. Nice for oneself, and nice for gifts. There are varying degrees of difficulty which are listed with each pattern.

As an avid crocheter and a breast cancer survivor, this book really touched me personally. It has excellent patterns and short stories about the people who submitted them. I highly recommend this to any crocheter.

This booklet has many nice patterns. All in pink of course but you could use any color of yarn
for any awareness you wany to crochet for. It doesnt just have to be pink for breast cancer.
The pictures are very nice. All patterns are usefull also, they didnt throw in a bunch
of wild patterns that you would not waste your time on.

I absolutely love this book. I waited a long time to get it, and I was not disappointed. The items are not hard to make. I wanted it to make some items for my mother who has cancer. I also wanted some hat ideas for the cancer society. I am simultaneously working on two projects. One is for myself.

Pink is not my color. So I make the things in this book colors I like. I love the patterns in this book. Great for Christmas presents.
