Good product, but I wish the plastic cover was clear instead of frosted. I get this opened at TSA all the time and they have to open each of the three compartments and then remove items. You SHOULD be able to clearly see the contents but the frosted plastic makes it just obscured enough so that the TSA person has to open it up and feel around inside. Having said that, it still gets four stars because it's very handy, does a good job and Think Tank stuff is just superb.

Cables are only a small part of the equation when it comes to keeping track of all the odds and ends a photographer needs on the road or at home. Where did I put that extra...? or the charger? Naturally disorganized, the Cable Management 50 has brought a new dimension of calm to my life because I know where I can find what I need when I need it. I don't keep anything I will need in the field there since those are kept in my back pack.
As is true of all Think Tank made bags, this one is made to last. The construction, the material it is made of, the zippers, are all consistantly excellent.

The dividers are attached to the lid and velcro'ed to the bottom. In other words, the lid cannot be opened when the dividers are in place. In the illustration only the corner of the lid is open. That is as open as it gets.
The center section is inaccessible and the two side sections are only partially accessible.

This would be a nice bag if one could open the lid, throw it back, and have access to the three compartments.

I just returned from a trip to South Africa to photograph wildlife in the 23,000 acre Sabi Sand wildlife preserve. About three months before leaving, I put this item on my Wish List, so I would not have to go searching for it if and when I wanted to order it. Along the way, I pretty much decided that I did not need an organizer for cables and chargers, and would just pack them in my checked luggage wrapped in my clothes. But at the last minute - about 72 hours before we were to leave on the trip - I went ahead and ordered it.

And it's great. It held the cables and chargers for my laptop, Kindle, three camera battery chargers, and two cell phone chargers. I also kept my computer mouse in this case just so I could access it without digging through all of my gear. This case kept all of these items together in one place where they could be easily accessed. And if TSA wanted to open my suitcase and take a look at it, no problem. In this regard, I do not mind the opaqueness of the cover and have not found it to be a problem in any way. I can easily see what's in each compartment.

If you travel, take photos, and download them to your computer while out on the road, you really ought to have this or something very much like it. I figure that on the Africa trip, it probably allowed me to avoid maybe a half-hour of searching behavior. I'm glad I finally tumbled and ordered it.

Awesome organizer. I removed the insert and use it as a laptop case....it's about that size. Think Tank makes some of the best products....and this is no exception.

Well made, put pricey at the time I purchased it, much more reasonable now. And it this price, I wouldn't have any complaint.

I do agree with another reviewer, clear instead of frosted would have been nice.

I needed a bag to hold all of my chargers, cables, Airport Express, batteries and electronic accessories when I travel. In the past I used ziplock bags and packing cubes but this one combines the best of both with the semi-transparent cover. It organizes everything and is very well-made.
